Mar 09, 2018
NEW YORK CITY (March 9, 2018) As a result of radiation exposure due to a massive earthquake and tsunami that struck northern Japan in 2011, U.S. military personnel are sick and dying, and want the nuclear plant’s designers and owners to take responsibility. Edwards Kirby attorney, John Edwards, along with his daughter Cate Edwards and Charles Bonner seek to bring to light the stories of these sailors whose illnesses have been correlated with the radiation exposure. The Edwardses and Bonner represent upwards of 400 sailors who accuse the Japanese utility (TEPCO) and the U.S. industrial giant (GE) of gross negligence in the design, construction, maintenance, and operation of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, and of deliberately obscuring the radiologic disaster that rapidly unfolded after the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
